Taking Credit

Weather people seem to take pleasure in taking credit for glorious summer conditions.

They can't help themselves. They are on the TV and the lights are shining on them and the production team has the "back porch" studio set up perfectly for them to take credit for something they literally had no influence on creating.

In business, examples of people taking credit for things they didn't do are not usually that glaring. It's the human fragile psyche that allows us to take credit for something not of our own efforts and making.

The funny thing is giving the right person or other people credit doesn't detract from you. More often it lifts you up in the eyes of your audience.

You giving or sharing credit with the deserving coworkers or friends actually lifts you up higher than taking credit for yourself.
